How many UOX shards are there?

UOX was the first, I played UO since phase 1 beta and I saw the UOX creater during beta, it's kinda annoying that UOX gets little credit, just would like to know how many UOX shards are out there, and what do the UOX people think about the runuo people? I remember setting up a UOX shard in 98 or 99, it was fun, colored British's castle as black as I could heh.. anyway, was thinking of making a freeshard list and I'm gonna leave off hybrid because it's not a freeshard, it manipulates the economy, forcing the few npcs in the world that even spawn money to spawn as little as possible the decadent 'donation' for items scheme reeks of the other 'free' mmorpgs out there with the scam mall feature.

I'm looking for the best team/shard out there, if it doesn't exist I was thinking of assembling one.

Alas, there aren't many. Stranf runs (or has ran in the past) a shard, but mostly for himself and some friends who seem to use it as an online version of a pen&paper rpg, with a GM and a group of adventurers etc. (or am I completely on the wrong track here, stranf?).

It's very quiet around here these days. No/very little influx of fresh blood, and us oldtimers are busy with other stuff in life, it seems. :/
