I'm going to set up my own shard in the future and I can't seem to login to my own 127.0.0.1:2593 local server, I've followed the install instructions exactly, UOX runs, but while trying to login with my admin l/p this is the message I get:
"Either an account name or password you provided were incorrect. If this is a new account it may not be active yet. Please try again shortly."
It says access granted! I guess I'll try to turn off my firewall see if that does anything. ... nope still same message. I remember I downloaded UOX back in 1998 and got it to work immediately.
I don't know anything about scripting, and if I had to choose which emulator to use I'd use UOX, so I'll be starting from scratch whichever emulator I use, is it any harder to script using UOX than runUO?
Can't login...

Sorry for the slow reply.
Be sure to use a client version earlier than (but not too early, mind) 6.0.14.2, as UOX has not been updated to support clients later than this.
Whether or not UOX is harder to script than RunUO depends on whether or not you prefer Javascript over C#. I prefer Javascript, some prefer C#.

Ok I'll try that, I have, 3.0.8 aos, because I had to reinstall due to the new sa patch making razor not work, I'll try to patch up to there,
yeah I actually know a little bit of javascript, not too much but enough to not be intimidated by it compared to c#, I'll try to figure it out... thanks for the reply,
and Orko rules, I remember watching he-man, Orko was my fav character on there, the little mage dude.
