Odd problem...

Post by Axanthic »

Alright, so I've gotten a UOX server up and running.

Used the community-made world-file, then updated to Stranf's world kit because it contained more things.

In doing the update, for some reason 'chop' commands don't work anymore.

I was wondering if there's a quick fix for this? ( Copying one of the files from the old set-up, which I made back-ups of. )

Additionally, and partially related I'm having problems with some lag on the server too.

My world is based on an old UOx3 source, at least the one uploaded on the server. I haven't done much decorating lately.

Here are some tips. Reinstall a new UOx3 updated server.

1) If you want the Stranf's worldfile decorations, npcs, and cities: Copy just the SHARED folder over.

2) If you want the new items, npc and weapon balance, Copy just the DFNDATA over.

3) If you want the custom scripts, Copy the JS script files over.

I'm not familiar with the "chop" commands. My guess is, is that it is something new and not on my server yet. If you like everything else, copy all the files over EXCEPT the JS folder, and you should be fine.

Hope that helps? 8)

Alright, that worked great. Thank you very much for your help.

Certainly saves ages decorating the world. You've saved me hours of pain. Thank you very much.
