Hello all,
First off I'm brand new to this and was successful getting everything working with v4.0.11 yesterday. However since finding v7.0.23 UOX3 is crashing on me when it gets to the point of reading the tiledata.mul file. I have tried a clean copy of X3 as well as the experimental version here with no luck.
I'm hoping I'm just missing something simple, but any information or help you might have is greatly appreciated.
Thanks
UOX3 crashing during load.

Hello, and welcome
Is any specific error provided, or does it just close without showing anything? If the latter, you can run UOX3 directly from a command prompt so the window stays open even if UOX3 crashes, so you can see the problem more clearly.
I just tried with 7.0.23.1 myself just now, with UOX3 v0.99.2b (experimental version) on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit, and it seems to be loading ok here. Do you use any custom client modifications, or make any specific changes to UOX.INI or anything else you might think of?

Hi Xuri, and thanks for the quick reply!
The only error that I get is the generic windows "uox3.exe has stopped working...etc." Nothing within the program or command prompt window.
I am running 64bit Windows 10, so not sure if that could be causing any issues. Hadn't got to a point of adding any client mods yet, so it's a clean install as far as I know.
I considered the idea that I could have a corrupted tiledata file but I've been unable to find one to download since I've been working on this today.
Any ideas at all? I'm really confused with this one considering how easy it was to get the older version of the game to work straight away.
Thanks again.

Hm I haven't tried with Windows 10 yet myself (haven't upgraded yet), so not sure if that's what's causing the issue. A bit strange considering it worked with the older client and not the newer though. Do you have any other client versions available that you could try?

Unfortunately I don't have anything else to try currently. I'll search around again and try to find something.
On a side note, is letting the client update completely an option as long as I keep all of the old mul files?

I'm... not sure. I haven't kept up with client updates lately, so not sure what changes have been made and what incompatibilities might have appeared. Backup existing UO folder before patching, in any case.
