How can I make durable buildings?

Post by Samira »

:?: How can I make things stay where they are? I just built a house and after a while all things go again. Argh.
I know, that I know nothing, but everybody has to begin one time. So please, help me! Also some commandos are no more useable with the new version. E.g. killhair, killbeard, killpack, npcwander 0, 2, 4, just the "follow" works, and of course "run around freely". Do you have a new commando list somewhere? Would be a great thing!

Thanks for an answer.

Sorry, I check the forum every day, just failed to notice any new posts because I wasn't logged in. :P

There are some problems with the new version, which we are trying to fix right now. Hopefully we'll have a new version out in the near future. However, you could try to use the 'SET DECAYABLE 0 command to specify that the items you place should NOT decay. Not sure if it'll work though, cause I suspect it's not normal decay which is removing those items. Or at the there might be a bug with the decay code which causes it. *shrugs*

Instead of 'KILLHAIR etc, try 'KILL HAIR, or 'KILL BEARD, 'KILL PACK.
And 'SET NPCWANDER instead of just 'NPCWANDER.

If you're missing some commands that were there previously, chances are they've been moved into a subset of the SET command. So try 'SET <oldcommand/property>. For instance: instead of the old SETTYPE command, use 'SET TYPE.

Some of this will be changing (again) for the newer version though, so this might not be the final solution :P
