hey everyone I've been playing UO for years (since beta to be exact) but i just now got UOX3 and I'm already having problems. well everything works just fine except one small problem... i can't walk.. move.. run.. anything, the only way i can get around is to use the 'tele command and that just isnt cutting it, also my weapons do squat damage but my wrestling owns monsters, could i get a little help here please, it would be much appreciated thanks

No worries, we don't believe in laughter here at UOX3.org
Seriously, though, we do need some more information to help us determine (and fix) the problem.
1) What client version are you using (displayed at the bottom of the initial login screen, would look something like 5.0.1a)
2) What UOX3 version are you using (IE 0.98-3.1 is the current release).

Hmm, well if your map0.mul is failing with those settings, something must be wrong with your mul files. The 5.x clients increased the map size from 6144 to 7168.
Just for kicks, try replacing your MAP 0 entry with this
[MAP 0] // Felucca
{
MAP=map0.mul
STATICS=statics0.mul
STAIDX=staidx0.mul
MAPDIFF=mapdif0.mul
MAPDIFFLIST=mapdifl0.mul
STATICSDIFF=stadif0.mul
STATICSDIFFLIST=stadifl0.mul
STATICSDIFFINDEX=stadifi0.mul
X=6144
Y=4096
}
That is the old size for clients 4.x and earlier.... see if it works.

Ok, so we know for some reason there's a problem with your map0.mul...
Are you certain you're using a 5.0.x version client? You may need to re-install UO, as a properly patched client should function perfectly with the default map settings (IE UOX3 should not be displaying the failed message).

Sadly, I'm stumped.
The glaring problem I see is that for some reason you have a map0.mul that is of the old (4.x client) size with a 5.x client. There has to be something wrong there, but if you say you've re-installed the client I don't know why it would still be the case.
If anyone else has any ideas, feel free to interject.

I have this exact same issue.
Windows 98 SE
384 Meg Memory
40+Gig available
Currently testing with 8th age.
I get a virtual memory error just about every time when I try load UOGateway. I was able to get logged in 3 times. Every time, I was not
able to move. After a min or so I disappeared.
Keeran what OS are you running under?
