log in problems

i am creating my first shard using uox3. i have got the server to start running,except for that it skips map1.mul. but anyway i attempt to log on using either uo gateway or loginace and it says this in the server window

FIREWALL: Forwarding address 127.0.0.1 --> Access Granted!
Client 0 [127.0.0.1] connected [Total:1]
LoginClient 0 disconnected.


and when i use loginAce this is what the server shows:

FIREWALL: Forwarding address 127.0.0.1 --> Access Granted!
Client 0 [172.0.0.1] connected [total:1]
Encrypted client attempting to cut in, disconnecting them: IP 1.0.0.127
LoginClient 0 disconnected.

i was wondering if anyone knew what was wrong and how to fix it

Using LoginAce you shouldn't be able to login, since it's very outdated by now.

If you are, however, using the latest version of UOGateway, there shouldn't really be anything stopping you from logging in. The messages you quote from the server window during your attempt to login with UOGateway are the standard login-messages displayed in the console window, nothing wrong there.

What does the client itself tell you when you attempt to login? Bad username/password? Does it stuck at "Verifying Account" or "Connecting.." ?
