How do you set the amount of goods on vendors? I know about the Shoplists and how to change those and I have changed the amounts manually with the 'buy & 'set amount x commands but they don't last after the next server reset apparently.

Boats seem to move very fast which is great if you need to get somewhere quick but docking them and trying to manouver to a certain spot is quite difficult. I checked out the dictionary and found the commands furl & unfurl sail thinking that they may slow the speed but it didn't appear so. The only reference to boats in the ini seems to be:
[speedup]
{
CHECKITEMS=1.5
CHECKBOATS=0.0439
CHECKNPCAI=1
CHECKSPAWNREGIONS=30
NPCMOVEMENTSPEED=0.7
NPCRUNNINGSPEED=0.2
NPCFLEEINGSPEED=0.4
}

Can that be changed to slow boats? Can boats be advanced by one (ie forward one, back one etc)?

Does the 8x8 skill gain system work in UOX3?

Placing a spawner in Britain caused the npc to appear "underground". With a 'where command it appears there is a z position of 20 (x y 20 0) so I tried to set the z position on the spawner to match 'set z 20 'set z 20 0 'set z -20 etc to no avail. Is there another command to use or does it adjust over time?

You set the number of items to restock directly on said items in the DFNs using the RESTOCK=# tag.

Boats will move slower if you increase the CHECKBOATS=# value in the .ini. Don't go completely overboard (hoho) though, try increasing the value in small steps. Boats in UOX3 currently have a single speed (determined by the uox.ini value), so furl/unfurl won't work. Unsure whether the forward one/back one commands work or not.

8x8 skill gain system does not work in UOX3.

What spawner did you try to place, and where exactly did you place it? Also - which worldnumber/facet?

WOW that was fast! Thanks once again!

The restock figure for reagents is 50 (base reagent) yet the mage vendors only show 1 for sale. Can this figure be over ridden elsewhere?

ROFLMAO
No, the forward one and back one don't work I just didn't know if there was a different syntax.

I placed a Seeker spawner in Britain ( World 0? in what UOAM says is Felucca) at 1431 1621 21 0. I reset it to TYPE 125 for escorts.

Did you give the vendor some time to restock his wares? AFAIK they will always spawn with only 1 of each item, then slowly restock. Try using the 'RESTOCK ALL command, which should restock all vendors to the maximum.

As for the spawner thing, I'll have to check that when I get back home from work.

I'm experiencing the same thing, my NPC is spawning beneath the ground! Definitely a bug.
