UO time- A theory of Relativity

Perhaps a silly question, but if I changed the seconds/minute in uox.ini to say 60 (the uo light level/time is following real world time *MINDBLOWN* :) ) is that going to affect spawning.

This seems like a silly question , it's just that if min time for a spawn is 1 and max is 2 then you'd assume that every one or two seconds X would spawn. Is it because there is some sort of spawncheck every 30 seconds or some other random amount of time? I'm just curious if my s/minute has slowed down spawning. It seems slow, but it could be my imagination to a certain extent.

Yes.

If you make the game time equal to real time, e.g. 60 seconds per minute, then the game runs in parallel to the real world.

Thus, if you set a reg to spawn in 5 minute intervals, its going to take 5 minutes.

I haven't had the time to look at the sources for quite a while, but if I remember right all timers always run in real time. Game time is only used for cosmetic purposes (day-night-cycle, switching on and off the streetlights).
