Sad that i even have to explain lol. NWood was a amazingly Awesome Shard that Xuri himself was developing back in the day, that one day came to an abrupt halt, and none of the old players have seen nor heard anything of it since. nwood was short for the servers full name: Norwegian Wood.

Ah yes, I do remember hearing rumblings of the custom map based off of Norweigian mythology.

Did the shard ever go into beta?

I'd be interested in playing on it myself.

So what happened to it Xuri?

It went into Beta, atleast Alpha. Was a phenomenal map, I think Xuris staying away from commenting on this lol

The map available in those test-runs (which ran for a few months if I recall) was actually tiny and not all that interesting

It ran on a cookie-cutter version of UOX3, 0.70.03.x something, with only a few minor tweaks here and there. Also, the shard name had nothing to do with Norwegian mythology, nothing to do with the world the shard was set in, even for that matter. Nothing special about it, really.
