Again, server problems?

Post by Arcturus »

I feel as though it's been asked before. but, here goes:

So I've progressed further in getting my shard to work on a different computer, it's now able to connect on my brother's computer, but it is stuck on the "verifying account" screen and never goes any further than that. is this a problem with the account itself? I don't know what to say. It seems that computers are to be the death of me...

Could you give some more information on how exactly you've got things setup? Like.. the contents of your [play server list] from uox.ini, which IP address your brother is trying to connect to - whether he's on a LAN or trying to connect over the Internet, etc, whether you're using Razor/ConnectUO/Something else to try to connect - which client versions you're both using, and so forth.

Sure. well, I'm using razor to connect, and the ip he is trying to connect to is 24.163.89.210. my playerserver options in UOx3 is set to "USER=LipmanShard,24.163.89.210,45951"

He is also using razor to connect. so I'm not quite sure what the problem is.

I assume he's also using port 45951 to connect to as well, then?

Not sure what could be the cause. Are you both using the same client version? Also, you might want to give ConnectUO a try instead of Razor, just to see if the same thing happens.
