Hey There!
I'm Verahawk, Massive gamer, Friendly Server Host and Occasional Tech-Help.
I'm new to UOX3 and UO, but past experiences make me do everything in my power before posting here (Seems a little dead anyway, all posts dated 2010?)
I've got my server running, NPC's wander around, can be interacted with, etc.
For some reason, I cannot spawn/place items through 'add or the WorldEditor.
I can use all commands (Make myself, and other people GM, create NPC's, Etc.) but not add items to my inventory. Generally after going through 'add and selecting an item, the game continues for a few more seconds before locking up. The console shows I'm still connected, but buttons refuse to work, I can't move, the works.
Also, Mobs are never hostile? I've spawned Hellcats, Zombies and Liches, only for them to be neutral and wander around asif they own the town.
Thanks in advance for any help/response,
Verahawk.
P.S. If I drag and drop any item into my backpack, I get instantly disconnected, and then the item does not appear in my inventory.
Hawk Here!

Hi and welcome to UOX3
The place does seem a bit dead, but occasionally explodes in a flurry of minor activity. It's not dead, it's just resting (Pining for the fjords, and whatnot).
For the non-hostile NPCs, check to make sure your own character isn't invulnerable. 'INVUL FALSE on yourself while close to some of those NPCs should do the trick.
As dragon slayer mentioned, knowing what client version + UOX3 version (+connectuo/razor/other?) you're using would be helpful, as UOX3 doesn't seem to play well with certain versions.

I believe the "hard cutoff point" for upper client version is something like v6.0.12 or 14, but the safest bet is probably somewhere either in the upper 4.x range, or a 5.x version.
I don't think there's an easy way to downgrade, unless you somehow find earlier client.exe versions (which can be risky if downloaded from some random site, and might still cause issues since other files have been patched). Possibly easier to install the client over again and then force-close (CTRL+ALT+DELETE -> Task Manager -> end UO patcher process) the patcher once it reaches the version you want to use.
Not sure where you got UOX V258 from, but it doesn't sound like a UOX3 version
The latest official release of UOX3 is 0.98-0.4, and the latest experimental build (which I suggest using over the latest official release) is 0.98-0.4h.

Oops, misread ^^ It is the latest official version for UOX3, I read that from the UOX.ini
The search for a UO 4.x version begins!
--Edit--
I downloaded this version, seems to work just fine. Also the 9th anniversary version.
