Howdy y'all and some questions

Evening all,

I've been working with the latest release, and its good. My question is; how do I start a shard with a blank map and make it from scratch? Do i login to a black screen and build from there or is there a application that I need to get? I did login a couple of times and seen the gump for add / admin which begs the next question. How do i get that updated?
I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of what UOX3 has to offer!
