Weapon damage

Post by grimalden »

How is weapon damage calculated? hi-lo damage + str bonus?

I'm asking all these questions because I got alot of my world populated and going thru my test dungeon with my newbie warrior, I find that it's way too easy. From 0 swords and 35 str, I was doing 23 damage, and was up to 40 swords in about 40 minutes. A harpy theoretically should be able to scratch a 0 swords 35 str warrior with no armor...

There are definately issues with balance. Damage is a very complex calculation, based on OSI calculations ~ Publish 15 or so (before AoS).

This means that anatomy, strength, tactics, weapon skill, weapon damange even lumberjacking can all play a part.

There are some settings in the uox.ini you can tweak to make things a bit tougher, though I'd have to look once I get home to tell you specifically which ones (they are in the combat section).
