I have enabled escorts in uox.ini (or maybe it was on by default, I can't remember), like so:
[escorts]
{
ESCORTENABLED=1
ESCORTINITEXPIRE=30
ESCORTACTIVEEXPIRE=60
ESCORTDONEEXPIRE=1800
}
however, nobles, or any other NPC ingame won't respond to queries like 'escort', or 'destination'. Is NPC escorting implemented? or is the uox.ini entry just for future expansion? Or did I just do something wrong?
NPC escorting

Okay, I've tried setting up NPC Escorts myself, and it seems to work to some extent - but I ran into a bug with them which unfortunately made UOX3 crash. So I can' t do further testing until it's fixed.
The process used for testing, plus the crash-report:
viewtopic.php?p=2624#2624
By the way, the [escorts] values from UOX.INI are by default way out of whack. The values (apart from ESCORTENABLED) are supposed to be in seconds, and the default settings mean the escorts spawned would expire (be removed) after 10 seconds, you'd have 20 seconds to complete the escort, and the NPC would roam around for 1800 seconds (half an hour) after the escort had been completed.
Also note that escorts won't automatically be available for any specific NPCs ingame - you must create specific NPC Escort spawners (type 125) to spawn escort NPCs.
