Both uox3dev.net and the adtastik-site are down, and so is the irc.ipdn.org server - have been for days now. :|

Nope, last time I spoke with him, things went smoothly, so to my knowledge, it's nothing I've done :)

I haven't heard from evil, i tried to e-mail him, but it got returned. *shrugs* i'm going through withdrawls.

xuri, also how do i set a string in a js file and then out put it for an NPC in an onSpeech function, so if i say "hi" the NPC returns string "hello". and such.

Have a llook at speech_001.js, I believe it ships with the standard DFN package, that gives you a good example of what you want to achieve, I believe.

I've checked that file already, it doesn't show how to define a string variable and then use it in the output TextMessage

From my quick-reference ( viewtopic.php?t=28 ):
Declaring a variable:
var myVar = 3;
or
var myVar = "This is a string";
So, example:

Code: Select all

var myString = "Hello, brave adventurer!";
myNPC.TextMessage( myString );

I tried the on ItemDroppedonNPC or whatever it is, but nothing works, whe you drop and item on the NPC it just reappears back in your bag, try and test it Xuri and see if you get any results.

I was just about finished with that uox plugin for gump studio, just two gump items left to do and then the website went down. I wonder what happened to EA - IRC seems to be down too :(

Weird that irc would be down since he has it hosted on another server. Very strange!

From what I have heard, Evil lost his net connection. For how long: nobody knows.
Things could actually be back up when he is able to move the name server information over to another place, so hopefully that will happen. Lets hope he is able to get his connection back soon!

In the mean time it seems we will have to wait for updates, etc.
Thats ok, EvilDeD needs a breather, and I'm sure once hes back he'll be fired up ready for more!

In the mean time, you can still test the stuff Maarc and Giwo does by getting the test version linked in the announcement post in this very forum :P I'll be updating it regulary as I get updates from Maarc/Giwo.
