WorldBuilder 0.23

I had issues firing this up on Win7 64bit.

I had to download a Visual Basic 6 SP6, extract different ocx and dlls from the cabs it had.

and then it actually worked.

Except for some reason when you add a house, it adds it like 20 times.

I got it to add a market stall but then I just clicked into notepad and let it spam notepad. :)

If you are feeling adventurous, you can attempt to install this version, that I compiled today. It's the first new version compiled in 12 years o_O. Make a recovery point in windows before installing, maybe, just to be sure XD;

Changes:

Code: Select all

-ADDED: Support for Windows 8/10 - uses alternative method for Sendkeys
-ADDED:	WB now checks to see if the UO client window is in the foreground before sending commands, instead of trying to bring it to the foreground every time along with a delay before sending the commands. No more delays! WB speed is now limited only by the spam-filter in the UO client (Try SPAMLIMIT=1000 in uo.cfg!)
-ADDED: Click on hexID label after selecting an item in Floors/Walls/Roofs/etc menus to copy ID to clipboard
-UPDATED: [!] Buttons to add single items now default to using the repeating command 'RADD instead of 'ADD so more than one item can be placed
-UPDATED: The Remove button now defaults to using the repeating command 'RREMOVE instead of 'REMOVE, so more than one item can be removed without having to press the button again.
-New, modern UI (haha, no... just changed background color of each form, and moved/resized some elements here and there)
-Updated tab-indexes for many menus to ensure tabbing through the various options happen in a more sensible order

If you encounter the ocx/dll issue again, I would be interested in the specific names, if you have them. Maybe I can do something about it (though, maybe not. This tool was originally made 22 years ago, and never really went through any major revamp since then) :X

These I was able to just dump into the WB 0.23 folder:
TABCTL32.OCX
MSCOMCTL.OCX
MSFLXGRD.OCX

MSSTDFMT.DLL
I had to drop in C:\Windows\SysWOW64 and register it.

The unfortunate thing was, I was on Windows 7! :(

Anyways, I finally ordered a bigger HD, upgrade to Win10 and now it runs. Excited to give this a spin and build some houses and what not. :)

Server 0.99.4n Win64

Of course the answer is, WB needs to run as admin. :P

Thanks!

Ok, how about this:

When you place one of the larger templates, the spam filter will still fire and some of the commands end up in the command/chat line.

I have SPAMLIMIT=1000 in uo.cfg Does upper/lower case or placement in the uo.cfg file matter?

Next thought would be to split the templates into smaller parts or slow down how fast WB sends commands?

Thanks!

Hm maybe I need to add back in the coniguration option for delay.

Btw, do you have win 8/10 enabled in config options? Alternatively, you can also try with a larger spamlimit value. I am not sure what the cap is.

Yes, Win 8/10 is enabled. I will try increasing limit.

Thanks!
