Preview version of Xuri's WorldBuilder 0.23 :P

The previous version of my combined worldbuilding/GMing tool was released in January 2002, so I guess it's about time to release a new version. Work on it since 0.22 has been... sporadic at best, but it's finally at a point where all of it should be updated to work with the latest UOX3 versions (hopefully) ;) There's still some things I'd like to add before I release the final 0.23 version (walltypes added with recent client expansions, for instance), but overall it's pretty much done deal. Would appreciate any feedback given on how this preview version works (if it works at all), and which parts of it don't work.

For those of you who have no idea what WorldBuilder is, it's a combined ingame worldbuilding utility (constructing houses, decorating your world, etc) and GM Tool (similar to CGMT/ShardAce of old, easy access to most commands and many features of UOX3).

Without further ado, here's the link to the preview version of WorldBuilder v0.23:
(NOTE: You may have to install the Visual Basic 6.0 SP6 run-time files first!)

Roofs work? Yeah!! I have buildings attached to a small keep that look like shacks because I had to use floor tiles. heeheh.

If roofs work do stairs work?

I couldn't get stairs to work. :( Said it was an invalid command.

Make sure you've selected 0.9x.x as UOX Version in the configuration menu; it uses a slightly different command format for the older versions of UOX3. Just tested the stairs here, and they seem to be working for me.

Stairs and roofs do infact work.

Wipe still causes a server crash so be careful with that.

My only thought now is to get it updated with more items.

If that control's still missing, try somewhere like this: http://www.ascentive.com/support/new/su ... BCTL32.OCX

I have many problems using this program. For one the item ids are all wrong, so i get coins for everything. When i add a house template in, it enters all the commands but doesn't actually add the house. I just get "pick 1st corner" after each line.

Make sure you've configured WB to use the right UOX3 version (Either 0.70.x for the older, "classic" UOX3 versions, or UOX3 0.98.x for the current). You can do that by entering the configuration menu (accessible from the initial WB window).

Thanks for the fast reply. I changed the version to .7 and now when i try to add a house template i get "Not a valid command or format" in game. :(
