Well, for starters, you could figure out why the most recent UO client version won't work with UOX3 and fix it ;) ;)

But I meant what I said in IRC - I really wish there were more active people around. I miss 1999, for all the chats, the active forums, the stuff that happened. Even miss some of the drama! :P But not all.

i would figure it out, if i would(?) have time.

but i have no time. i registred 4 years ago where we started a uo rp shard, but we switched to runuo (sunuo).

i can program almost everything, including my clock radio. (except borland shit like delphi or pascal...)

but I HAVE NO TIME.

is uox3 used actually by anybody?

Well was fun having a lot of poeple at one emu all the rival emus bUT No a dumb emu named runuo came along and killed them all off. Blah

I wish was the old days again to 99 what fun I miss UO I miss all my Uo dev friends I miss it all I just wish we could all become a happy family

But do you every think the paths emu's took was the wrong one

Like uox and wolfpack changing the way the was coded and scripted did you every think why people left because old script system was easyer. to learn and do from and waiting foir a dev to update was like getting a xmas gift

My 2 cents hehe

ouer choice for runuo was because it can be fully changed from every vb.net kiddie.

you CAN actually make a better emu. performance, etc. BUT it's too hard to create an emu which is also so easy, powerful and comfortable to extend.

Stranf uses UOX3 :> And Jediman. And me. And whatever stragglers come by ;)

Also:

It wouldn't be dead if people actually stuck around for a while and didn't leave after a mere half hour, so we could build up some momentum and keep it rolling ;) Oh, and I didn't reply because I was playing Civ IV :P 4 cities, 5 units killed (all barbarian animals), 2 scouts dead, cultural victory. Whee.

Yup.

We don't play as much as we like, but we are still kickin'. Uox3 is VERY stable as is, a few things we'd like to tweak on our shard:

-Find a way for more custom music

-Keep PC's or all creatures in the game as grey instead of blue (essential for DM initiated conflicts

-Treat "owned" NPCs as "packhorses" so that an "owned" PC can outfit an NPC with gear and access his/her pack. Right now all you can do is tell them to follow or guard.

-Add some more custom scripts for skills such as music.

All in all, Uox3 has come a LONG way since I first logged on and my friends and I love it. We experience no game-stopping issues, just a few things from the above list would make it better.

I wish we had more activity too, but on the flip side, I think it is easier to get improvements that pertain to my shard specifically easier with Uox3 than a more popular emulator like RunUO.
