Running UOX3 from USB 3.0 Thumb Drive

I recently had hard drive crash that left the drive unrecoverable and I was thinking about setting up UOX3 to run off of a 3.0 USB Thumb Drive. I don't see any ties between the Windows Registry and UOX3 so it should be doable. The client data should be able to be copied to the UOX3 directory on the USB without errors, I think. My only concern would be if the 3.0 USB data transfer rates are fast enough so players don't experience server lag or lag during server saves. Has anyone hosted UOX3 from a USB?

I've booted off of USB before....years ago. I don't think it was anymore laggy than when I ran off the old IDE hard drive. Once UOx3 unpacks and everything is in RAM your limiting factor is really your internet speed. World saving may take more time though.
I've ran the server on a main computer with a client running and a virtual machine running with another client on the same computer, with two folks logged in via the internet and another logged in via LAN.
Not exactly a MMO community, but it was essentially two clients and the server on one machine and I had zero issues except for my DSL connection (don't laugh, I live in the middle of nowhere and if I hit a consistent 500kbps.......I'm thrilled!).
