Thumbs up for that, absolutely - but does that affect UOX3? Any thoughts?
RunUO being open-sourced...

I'm all for it, mostly for selfish reasons, I've been wanting to take a crash course in C#.
I am, though, quite suprised, Though I've petitioned for it, I never thought I'd see the day when RunUO actually went Open Source.
I suppose we will just see how things develope, but it will certainly be a good thing for the entire UO emulation community.

If nothing else, it gives people a glimpse into how different people solve different problems. I haven't looked at RunUO in many, many, many, many moons, so I have no idea what sort of feature support it has. But if nothing else, for instance, they might (stress, might, I have no idea for sure) have more detailed knowledge of things like tile flags and file formats. Global game based information might be quite useful, but nothing about the code would really allow you to plonk down their implementation into UOX (different languages, different compilers, different targets, different ideas). It gives you exposure to more knowledge, and allows you to broaden your thinking, which is always a good thing.
