Request: Simple modification to 'gate, 'mark

I haven't had time to check the 'gate, 'mark scripts, so I don't know who wrote them or is familiar with them.
I had an idea, scine magic and boats aren't working in the supported download of UOx3, a way i could get by this travel is to create a 'pgate, 'pmark script. This would basically work as gate and mark, but would be accessible to the PC.
The modifcation I require, would be a check to deduct 500gp for pgate, and 1000gp for pmark. In order to succeed the money would be removed from the PC.
This helps my world in two ways. It allows my PCs to travel without giving them access to the GM travel menu, and it allows them to use money. (we've stocked up quite a bit since you don't need to buy reagants.)
It also allows me to set up vendors with pre-marked runes.
