Hey everyone! *waits for answer* The hall is empty I guess. Everyone must be studying for test or getting married or something.
Anyway, whenever anyone has time, here is some bugs I noticed on my last adventure:
Animal commands work AWESOME (thanks whoever fixed that code). However, a "befriended" master can only issue the "follow" command. Guard, and Attack solicit no response from the creature. These commands work perfectly if you are the master that tamed them, only "befriended" masters struggle.
Any ideas?
And while we are on the topic of animals.....know of anyway to disable the Animal-Hunger? Either that or make them not hunger as fast as PCs. My players complain their horses are constantly running away and would like the option of ommiting it for certain creatures.
Thanks everyone!
Animals: Some Friend Commands won't work.

Not sure about the pet-command issue, but you should be able to turn off hunger for animals by adding a WILLHUNGER=0 to their DFN sections - or changing the .willhunger JS property to 0.
Might also achieve the same effect by making the pets invulnerable - in which case they A) can't die and B) can't fight ;P

Glad to hear petcommands work, pretty sure I attempted to fix them, but also seem to recall there being an issue a while back with the client sending the commands multiple times (causing some, err, interesting side effects).
As for friends not being able to use pet commands, that was by original design. We can add those abilities to friends, but it should only be done if OSI allows it.

You mean on OSI it's not allowed?
I seem to recall (could totally be wrong) playing back in '97 that originally you didn't have "friends" you could only transfer.
When guilds became big, it was suggested that pets used as "guards" could be fed and controlled by "friends" so that the beastmaster wouldn't have to log in all the time and feed the dumb thing.
So I thought friends could always tell the animal to attack.
seems pretty silly that all a friend can do is feed the pet and tell him who to follow.
I'm just surprised it wasn't in OSI, learn something new everyday I guess.
