If anyone can post a working method for doing the same using any other cvstool and/or compiler, or even how to do all of this in Linux (I'm uncertain if UOX3 even compiles there as I'm unable to try myself) - it'd be much appreciated

UOX3 Compile-walkthrough added
Alrighty, I've added a sticky with a walkthrough of how to download the UOX3/Mozilla-sources using both TortoiseCVS and WinCvs (though I must admit I have not tested the WinCvs method... I copied that from an earlier guide and updated it.), as well as how to compile either using MSVC 6.0.

WinCVS 1.2 is the best stable version right now. I've seen a lot of info on it, I use it! I've changed your CVS directions for WinCVS 1.2 Specifically.
1. Start WinCVS
2. Open the Preferences menu under Admin -> Preferences
3. In the CVSROOT field enter: anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/openuo
4. In the Authentication field select: "passwd" file on cvs server
5. Click: OK
6. Next Click: Admin -> Login
7. When the Password message box pops up, just hit [Enter] or click OK
8. Next Click: Admin -> Command Line
9. Enter: cvs checkout projects/uox3
10. Click: OK
Xuri, you will need to change the other walkthrough stuff. The CVS is OpenUO/Projects/UOX3, reflected above. But here is a step by step process to getting the source if you already have setup WinCVS 1.2
Instructions for linux are below, this is from the terminal. I only use the terminal version of CVS, never used a GUI version.
1. Open a Terminal
2. Change to the directory where you want to store the UOX3 source
3. Now type the following to get the latest source:
cvs -d:pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/openuo -P projects/uox3
4. Hit [Enter] and wait for CVS to finish downloading the source!
Anytime I can help Xuri, Let me know.

Thanks =) I've updated the WinCVS instructions, and added a new sticky - for Compiling UOX3 under Linux - though I have only added your cvs-instructions so far.
There are some old instructions here for compiling mozilla & uox3 under Linux, but I have no idea if they actually still work.
