UOX 4.0g experimental, happens since 4.0c

Please use a new character.
Pick lumberjacking 50.
Get bare naked, drop everything you hold but the hatchet.
Status screen should report 7 stones carried.
Chop some wood.
And then chop some more.
Then drop the wood, you should be again at 7 stones.

Now drop the hatchet to the _floor_ and pick it up again. Whether you put it on the paper doll or in the backpack shouldnt matter.
Start choppin wood again.

First stack of wood weighs you down with 10 stones, as expected. Second stack supposedly doesn't add any weight. Third stack youll get should be 10-hatchet (ie 10-4=6 stones).

This weird rythym seems to be completely consistent. And it's not just cosmetic, the status screen display of carried weight should actually be somewhat accurate here. You can easily veryify that by continuing to chop wood (without dropping it off) after you got a glitched stack. Just gather wood until you're almost overloaded, then grab the logs and drag em around in your backpack. The weight should update, and you should be encumbered.

Supposedly this affects all resource gathering, and there are other ways to glitch it, this is just the only thing I found that happens (almost :P) everytime, predictable.

Btw, works with mining too, as we just found out. Bring a pickaxe to the dungeon if you never want to be encumbered again.

I'm a newb but, what does the restock value mean?
{
[0x0e85]
{ facing West
get=base_item
name=pickaxe
id=0x0e85
weight=1100
value=34 17
layer=2
lodamage=1
hidamage=15
hp=31 60
spd=35
str=25
restock=10
decay=1
good=57
}
}

its the only value different between a shovel and pickaxe that might do it

The restock-value is only used in context of NPC vendors, determining how many of said items they should stock up on in their shop.

Fix for this is now on the CVS. Turns out all that was required was to clear the pickupspot socket property after dropping items off the mouse cursor :P
