Sinking into the earth, floating in the air, crazy...

Hello everyone, how are you?
Well, I would like to congratulate you Xuri, the good work they you did. There many updates, many same many. I also say that I am missing out here because life has begun to charge me, and I was having fun with UOX3 while no occupations, uncompromised . Even so, I downloaded the new version, I did some tests and I could see some new bugs.
How follow the images below, I do not know what happens, but my character sinks to the ground from nothing, from nothing walking it floats in the air also (Z = 14, for example). NPCs frequently sink down in the earth and rise in constructions also. Spells field as field fire, wall of stone and others also go in the "underground".
Do not know why this is happening, and say that does not have specific locations, is occurring in several parts. (did not occur before this [previous version], only minor problems as npcs climbing hills or houses in Papua).
That's what I can say right now. Again parabés Xuri for their work.
hugs.
PS: Dragon Slayer been working very well also, congratulations!

Interesting. This seems like an error with calculating map-height properly, which is the most likely to happen if your server & client are running off of different versions of the map-files, but could also be that I messed up somewhere. :/
What version of the UO client are you using, and which version of the client-data is the server running on (which client version is it reading the map-files from)?

Ultima Online client version is 6.0.1.7.
About this your question, "which version of the client-data is the server running on (which client version is it reading the map-files from)?", I do not understand this... about what would that be? Where I look this? I did not understand what it is that...

Basically what I meant was - is UOX3 reading the same version of map0.mul (and other map-files) and tiledata.mul as your UO client is? If UOX3's DATAPATH in UOX.INI is pointing to a folder with map#.mul/tiledata.mul files from client 5.0.x (example), for instance, while you're logged in with client 6.0.x, then you might run into problems.
Another thought strikes me, though. Are you using modified/custom versions of map/tiledata files, by any chance?

DOH! I messed up, sorry. I forgot to set a flag to "false" in code when there are no Map#LegacyMUL.uop files (support for these added for 7.0.24+), so your UOX3 server actually tries to read data from the mapfiles as if they're UOP-wrapped mapfiles from client 7.0.24.0, even though they are not!
Long story short, fix is up on CVS, and I will compile a new version later today with a fix for this as well as a bunch of weight-related fixes that are also on the CVS.

Hmmm ... I forgive you! LOL
Taking advantage of the momentum, I wasn't able to put in place some houses or boats. It would be an issue related to what you said and the problem I reported?
I has only one more problem and I quote him another topic...

Fixed on CVS, and in UOX3 v0.99.1.
House/Boat-placement seemed related and was apparently fixed at the same time.

All right now, Xuri. The problem of sinking on earth or floating in the air has been resolved. Now I can also put the houses and boats, but do not know if I did something wrong, but presented a new problem. I can put the houses and boats, but to enter and take a few steps inside them, the UOX3 crashes (crash / close). Simply move/walk in the house or boat that UOX3 close/crash.

I take it those crashes didn't happen in 0.98-4.0?
Also, do you have any custom/modified .mul files on your shard? Map/statics/multi/tiledata/etc.?

No, that was not occurring in the versions that preceded the 0.99.
I think so, here is the same ultima online I as played and always I tested with the UOX3. Only now this problem occurred.

Okay Blue can you do me a big big favor.
Uninstall Your UO then go delete the folder to make sure its completely gone and no files are left behind.
Then reinstall it and point uox3.ini to that installed uo folder. and then test housing and boats again.
Please, because this would be so help full.
I'm going to install Ml and update to client 6.0.1 ect see if i can make uox3 crash hehe

Reinstall it again? I said it's always the same UO in part because the computer I formatted and reinstalled the UO is around two weeks. And when it was reinstalled, I use UOX3 98 and everything was normal. Sometimes I did something wrong when you replace the original files for my changed files...
But anyway, it only appears unusual ...
But I point out that it appeared from version 98 and never had any problem...
But if any of you have a link where I can download a Stygian Abyss or High Seas functioning normally, I would appreciate it. There downloaded some other times, but never opened/running the client in the UO I has have downloaded ...
But if everything is normal for you, do not worry about what happens here. My intention is always to help improve this emulator which for me was the best I found. If the problem was here, all right.

Hm it's failing to load the map-files at all. What does your UOX3/DFNDATA/MAPS/maps.dfn file look like? Should look similar to this:
Code: Select all
[MAP 0] // Felucca
{
MAP=map0.mul
MAPUOPWRAP=map0LegacyMUL.uop
STATICS=statics0.mul
STAIDX=staidx0.mul
MAPDIFF=mapdif0.mul
MAPDIFFLIST=mapdifl0.mul
STATICSDIFF=stadif0.mul
STATICSDIFFLIST=stadifl0.mul
STATICSDIFFINDEX=stadifi0.mul
X=7168
Y=4096
}

Yes Xuri appears exactly that.
[MAP 0] // Felucca
{
MAP=map0.mul
MAPUOPWRAP=map0LegacyMUL.uop
STATICS=statics0.mul
STAIDX=staidx0.mul
MAPDIFF=mapdif0.mul
MAPDIFFLIST=mapdifl0.mul
STATICSDIFF=stadif0.mul
STATICSDIFFLIST=stadifl0.mul
STATICSDIFFINDEX=stadifi0.mul
X=7168
Y=4096
}
I think I had downloaded from the Dragon Slayer, I'll download again and see what happens. Thank you.

translate
hey azul Eu sei porque você está tendo problemas de colisão o arquivo multi e multi.mul você tem do meu site para o meu shard. É fora da data
Poderia voltar a colocar a outra multi e multi.mul na sua pasta de UO que veio com o uo instalação

It could even be the problem, but as I said, formatted the computer recently and reinstalled the UO brand new without changes, so the problem would not be this ...
Taking advantage of the post: If you (Dragon Slayer) or Xuri come post by at most the next two hours, I'm downloading the client "High Seas/last client classic" beyond the link you gave me. It weighs 1004 megs. Right the download is now 70%! I'll need to wait everything download or can cancel and continue tomorrow? Apparently he is stopped, not sure...
What is the option/ What is the use of option "perform full file check"?
I apologize to the Xuri because I divert the topic subject

I'm afraid I don't know whether it will resume downloading or start over from scratch if you pause it somehow. As for the "perform full file check"-thing, I assume it's some kind of file-verification function, so it verifies that all files in the UO folder are the correct size and not corrupt, etc.

Hello Xuri and Dragon Slayer, how are you?
I absented because life goes much rush. Now I'm working, and I'm quite busy... =(
Xuri, not know if you're still working with the UOX3, but I'm writing here in this topic, because using the emulator recently here after a long time and this same problem described initially in this topic is occurring again...
If I remember correctly, he had been corrected with version 99.1, but after formatting my computer, again downloaded the latest version of the classic Ultima Online and after logging in emulator I had already edited a few things, my character, as well as NPCs, sank to the ground at certain times or "fluctuated" in the air.
Believing it to be a problem due to modified files, I came to download the latest version "raw" of site, but after logging in emulator, continued in the same way again. So is this, if you is still working with UOX3, there is this possible bug that is happening. Below are some photos of the writing when the emulator starts...
Image when the emulator starts...
Image when you moving character in the game...
