Xuri's Worldbuilder request.

Post by stranf »

Basic idea:

1. Link multi-sized objects together, such as beds, for easy placement.
2. (if easy, not majorly important) Add flag boxes for 'decayable' and 'movable' in the item addition menu. So that we can set the item values within world builder prior to placing.

Basically my request is straight forward from my idea box. The furniture placement is great for items like chairs, and even painitings, but I noticed that looms and beds are broken and only add one part of the object. (placing 3 part forges is a pain through add menu!)

If the worldbuilder could be quickly adapted so that I can place a 4slot bed with one mouse click instead of the 20 required to place (including the time it takes to set the decayrate to 0 on each piece) through the add menu. This would be, theroretically, a 500% increase in time saved. Worldbuilding would be sweet!

Other than that, the preview is great (I even got stairs to work), and hopefully such a fix won't be to time consuming![/quote]

ok...well it was a stupid request since I found out you CAN build complete 4 tile objects just by selecting the "facing" options.

So the Worldbuilder is an amazingly fast tool to decorate...any chance Xuri you can add some more placeables to "Items" section?

particularly table toppers, food, and drinks, would be nice.

Yeah that would be nice, could've used that myself while going around decorating Britannia heh. Though ideally I want to add a new item-section with a similar setup as InsideUO, only with the additional feature that when you doubleclick an item a command gets sent directly to the UO client to add that item specifically =P

Interesting. I hear a lot of talk about "inside UO", so maybe I should look at downloading it and trying it out. As far as the inside UO website, it looks like it's just a map and/or item "viewer". What else can you do with it that helps out?

It gives you a pretty nifty list of all the items in the game, with images and ids in both decimal and hex-id. It contains all sound effects in the game, all gumps in the game, all textures, all multis, all colors, etc.
