How do you get rid of orphaned multis?

Post by stranf »

I have a tent that dosen't have a chest anymore, and it won't decay or be deleted using the 'remove command. I also have a blacksmith shop that dosen't have a door anymore and it can't be deleted either.

I let those slide for the last few years, but now I had a ship that when I used 'turn right it turned the multi but NOT the hatch and the tillerman! Not sure how that happened, or if it was just a one time thing. I tried to turn the ship back but it wouldn't work. Then the console gave me an error 'invalide multi or something like that and in order to save the server it converted the ship into a one room house with no door!

So now I have a house in the ocean. I'd ignore this bug too, but it is right next to the docks of skara brae and looks really silly.

Is there a way to delete these orphaned/rogue multi's or do I need to restore a server backup?

Is there any command to get rid of multi's?

Two things you can try:

1) 'WIPE and select an area around the multi

2) 'HOUSEICONS ON/OFF to display placeholder objects for the multis. By removing the placeholder object (looks like a deed), you should also remove the multi.

Houseicons on/off worked like a champ. Thanks.
