Good update Xuri. Congratulations.

But let me clarify a doubt. To use the updates only "Source Changes/Fixes:", which files should I necessarily replace?

The remaining DFN and JS files are already in the face which are... hehehe

I ask because previously I downloading the complete new version and go replacing things/archives one by one, and is it was quite stressful and tiring. I was/am a noob =/

Hi, sorry for the slow reply - my Internet access has been acting funky all day.

In theory you should be able to just replace uox3.exe between UOX3 v0.99.1 and v0.99.2 without any huge problems. However, I would still grab at least the FIXCONTWEIGHT JS command and run that (look through it first and modify any values for weight, baseweight and weightmax if you disagree with the ones I set in the script) once. Make sure to backup your worldfiles before doing it, of course (should be fine, but do it just in case)...

I also suggest you try out software like WinMerge to deal with upgrading to a new version of UOX3. I use it myself, and it's very useful to be able to determine the exact differences between two separate UOX3 folders, in which files those differences lie, and having each specific difference highlighted in a side-by-side comparison.

great, i appreciate your work xuri.

but i have this problem, i can cast spells beyond the walls. i go to britain cemetary, create an ogre in one of the buildings, i cast one of the spells registered in level1targ.js and it is successful even behind the wall. can it be something to do with scripted CanSee command ? last 0.99.2b revision is used.

Is this as a normal player or a GM (that includes characters on the admin account)? I know GMs are specifically excluded from LoS checks.

For characters on non-admin accounts, 'MAKE PLAYER will turn them back into regular mortals. They will lose access to GM commands.
For Characters on admin accounts, 'MAKE PLAYER will disable the GM priv, but they will keep admin-level command clearance.

In theory 'MAKE PLAYER should be enough to be able to test most stuff as if you were a regular player, but if in doubt, use a non-admin account to make sure.

Thanks Xuri for the great update(s) !!

It seems much more stable to me (well, if my shard was down it is mainly because I was messing with the NX Server & Client lol).

I had no crash yet till the update. :)
