* I have never played on the Origin Shards (crappy internet access in South Africa)
* My experience of CVS or any other collaborative dev is limited to pretty things like Borland's Team Coherence
* My Spelling is shocking today - ko?

If I haven't frightend everyone away then hear me out, thanks.
My propasal is thus:
a) It's a big big world of Ultima! There's enough space for eeryone
b) As cool as it is to build your own world, nothing is ever new to you. As you are the architect.
c) Many hands make light work
Translated:
a) The world of UO is big enough to allow many people to have a space, as such to work on. Multiple people could express multiple visions of the world (with-in reason, sorry no Ewoks or Gungans - ever!)
b) My Shard is a networked one, as I've previously mentioned internet access in South Africa is not condusive to the induvidual hosting a server at home. Being a 'local' Shard there are a grand total of 2 builders, flatemate and myself. When playing I really do enjoy playing in the spaces where he's gone amok and vice versa.
c) Credit must be given to the DEV team for their work. To their paiteince and support (Xuri has been most helpful - thanks man!

Questions are:
a) Who Wears the Hardhats? (who is building)
b) Where is the construction site?
c) Pepsi or Coke?
a) The best way to select people for the project would to accept submissions of built areas from candidates. Being a hobby it's not a matter of OMG l33t!!! H4X0R!! building triggers and scripts galore- I imagine most would settle for tasteful exposition of the UO world. Altough if you do 'OMG l33t!!! H4X0R!!'(tm) tastefully then thats fine.
b) Hosting a UOX server? This would have two fold effect of building the world and testing UOX. But personally speaking I have no means of hosting a UOX server. Otherwise CVS type repositry? As I mentioned I am clueless on this matter
c) Surrealist answer: 'fish'

Other considerations are:
Tools to use
Standards (syntax, layout)
