64-bit support...

Post by Sydius »

Turns out 64-bit support is easy to achieve in Win64:

Something to consider, since it would give a big boost to those of us using Win64, and give an edge over the competition.

It seems like the only areas we really need to look out for are storing memory addresses. Happily (off the top of my head) we don't do much of that (largely we use pointers and refrences, which I assume will automatically be sized to 64 bits by the compiler), so it shouldn't be too difficult to attain.

The most likely problem, I gather, would be casting and pointer arithmetic.
