Ok, so ever since UO came out I've been waiting for a greatsword or hand-and-a-half sword (bastard sword, for those of you who like the profane name... :wink: ).

Anyway, I purchased 8th age, and to my dismay OSI STILL has not included a 2hs.

So i was thinking....the paladin sword is a pretty decent sprite on the PC and paperdoll to represend a hand-1/2 sword, and the large japanese sword (from SE), as some pretty good animations.


Is it possible to create a onSwing() function that forces the client to play the 2handed katana animation using the Paladin sword?

That way all you have to do is set layer=2 in the DFN, tag the script, and your set.

I assume most combat animations are hardcoded, so if it still plays the 1handed animation with the paladin along with the 2handed one, this would be acceptable.....it would simulate a hand 1/2 sword pretty darn good.
