[FIXED] Attribute Gains ?

Attribute Gains ?

I haven't been at this long but after playing most of the day I noticed that STR/INT/DEX did not increase at all. I was using skills that would have normally have taken at least one up over that period of time. Skills increased just fine.

There is a known issue currently where any player with a commandlevel greater than 0 (IE any GM, Counsellor, or player logged in under Account 0) cannot gain stats or skills.

If you were logged in under a normal account (not account 0) and are not a GM, counsellor, or player with a higher command level, then you should be able to gain stats and skills with no problem.

I tested out stat gain, after responding to your post, and found that I was unable to gain stats (at least not at a reasonable level) as well.

I have fixed the problem for the next release, but in the meantime, this is what you can do to fix it for yourself.

Open /dfndata/skills/skills.dfn

Scroll to the bottom, finding SKILL 54, SKILL 55, and SKILL 56.

you will see this:

SKILLPOINT=90 1 0
SKILLPOINT=100 0 0
Change it to this

Looks like the fix worked flawlessly. I gained 16 STR in 2 hours mining and 3 INT in 30 min Eval Int on NPC's in town. Kudos.

Is this DFN change still needed with 0.98-3.3g, as I see that the CVS still contains the lower values?

No, I fixed the problem in the source (which came down to comparing against a max value of 1000 instead of 100).
