So how do items get enabled in UOx3?

I was over for the first time to UO.com and read about the 5.0.1i patch.

Sounds like they've enabled dragon armor, guantlets and few other neat goodies. Are these items stored on the servers? Or were the graphics for them sent over to the client so they could be extracted to UOx3?

The graphics exist in the client, so now they simply need to be added in the dfn's (or manually added to the world with the 'add command and the values set manually).

Notably Xuri just recently added quite a few new items to the DFN's.

nice.....did he list them?

Making .dfns is fairly straight forward. It's extracting the item IDs that I'm clueless about..... I assume that's where UO Inside comes in handy? I need that program.

Yes, InsideUO gives you the item ID's and pictures of all the items.

I'm not sure if he listed them, but basically it came down to the Samurai armor (and possibly weapons).

There were certain "Gift" items that were listed on the front page of uo.com, are those also in?

Any item that exists in UO CAN exist in UOX3. It just must be added to the DFN's or manually added.

Nice.....now I just want a greatsword...

Something like the no-dachi but with mideval graphics instead of asian.

I've wanted a nice 2 handed sword since UO was first released....I'm surprised there still isn't one. :cry:
