So I took the NPC-murderer-archmage script and copied it into a custom.dfn so I could have "good" NPC mages that aren't vendors.
I don't know what to set the AI to so that the mage will be "good" and still cast spells at enemies.
I set the AI to 5, which sends the mage after hostiles (same AI as a fighter), but he likes to wrestle instead of cast spells.
Is there any AI value that we can use that let's "good" characters attack with magic?
"good" archmage.

Spellcasting in combat is not bound to the AI type. As long as the NPC has the SPATTACK, SPADELAY and MAGERY tags properly set he will randomly use spells.stranf wrote:Is there any AI value that we can use that let's "good" characters attack with magic?
