Still some issues with UOX3's walking/running code?

Post by Xuri »

According to the following thread, there might be an issue with our movement code still:

Also, would be great if we had more support for the Iris client in general :P

Thanks for the link!

Seems like an awesome client, I'm going to give it a go.

I downloaded both 64 bit and 32 bit versions...I'm not sure if my P4 is 64-bit capabale but we will see.

anyway, the download is a *.tar file.

How do I open *.tar files? (or is it a .rar that has been renamed?)

Sounds like you downloaded the Linux versions =) Unless you actually use Linux, try this one instead: http://prdownload.berlios.de/iris/Iris0.8.6_Setup.exe

To configure, either download the updated configuration program linked in the thread in my initial post, or edit config.xml in the xml folder and set the IP, POrt, login name & password + <IS_UOX3>1</IS_UOX3>.

I read a bit in the forum, it seems you need a fairly decent video card.

The crux of my P4 is my integrated Intel. :(.

It does do open GL, so maybe it will fool the install and let me try it out. hahahah.
