I can log onto UOx3 using the 3d client easy. But I get anywhere from 45seconds - 5 minutes of playing time, and then suddenly "connection lost"
Uox3 dosen't display an error, just "client 1 was dissconnected", and my UO client dosen't crash....just the screen "connection lost" flashes up.
I also tried it with the Iris client (I was impressed for what I did see), and can only get about 30-40 seconds before it just shuts down. No illegal operation, nothing, just closes. I think UOx3 is disconnecting it before it "vanishes", but I'm not sure.
I am running an integrated intel video card, which sucks, and may be an issue. But it is OpenGL compatible and has run Neverwinter nights and Morrowind with no problems. (And they seem FAR more advanced graphically than either OSI's 3d client or Iris.
I just wonder if someone else has this same issue?
3d Client Loses Connection
After more checking, it seems to be a synchronization issue.
My cousin, on a similar machine with high-end dedicated video card, would try to log onto my shard and promplty get disconnected. Almost immediatly.
My guess is that my dialup couldn't send packets fast enough for his 3d client to digest, and for some reason they lost synchronization and kicked him off.
If this could be it, is there anyway to prevent UOx3 from "kicking" off clients??
