world files

I have downloaded Jedimans world files but can't seem to get them to work . How would you get them to load up his files please help

Hm I'm not sure which worldfiles you're talking about, but if they're supported by UOX3 versions 0.9x and above, you'll have to put them in the UOX3\SHARED\ folder while the server is down, then startup the server.

Once you login after this, you should see whatever items/characters were present in Jediman's worldfiles.

Some of my old worldfiles were initially for the uox classic version. The other version was the 95.x versions. Just unzip them and drop the files into the shared folder by themselves (get rid of anything else iin there first). Then load up. It SHOULD work just fine. There might be some discrepencies between them and the new format.

I might release another version at some time, but I generally now use my own custom maps!

thx for the help i do believe the file are for uoxc so i don't think there working i just figured i was doing something totally wrong . the only reason i was tring to get world files for uox3 is that i am in the military and i havent got alot of time to build the shrad up my self . if anyone can point me in the right dieriction to downloading some uox3 world file please tell me ok so i can get me and my buddies something to paly on .. thanks again.

Try and find me v95 world files. If not search around for the world converter. It will convert the files to the older 95 version and then the new version should convert it up to the new format from there.
