This is a tool that would save a lot of balancing time on my shard. It is basically a .DFN reader/editor for monsters, weapons and armor, but adds a "calculation" script to calculate the damage inflicted vs. an oppenent with said weapons and skills.
In order to implement this, you would need to know the combat algorithm used in C++. I understand it would be a fairly complicated program, but it would be the most time-saving thing I could think of on my shard.
Our GMs are getting bored of randomly tweaking values in the .dfns until combat is balanced how we like it.
