Post by Phoenix »

All of the spawning monsters don't decay but tiles that i put down decay in a matter of minutes... any ideas on how to switch the effects?

The only way to get around decaying items is to use the gm command " 'set deycayable 0 ", or else they will eventually disappear.

I agree with you though, monster corpses stay forever but items can dissapear below your feet if you aren't careful.

I have just gotten into the habit of using " 'remove " to clean up the corpses. Not the best fix, but it works. (I don't have as much problem with the corpses, it's the little blood spots when you carve that linger forever!)

These values are set in the UOX Ini.

Using the INI Editor, browse to your uox.ini, then click the "Timers" tab, and you'll notice Corpse Decay (which defaults to 900 seconds) and Item Decay (defaulting to 300 seconds)

Change those values to whatever you feel is appropriate, and hit save.
