When you open up a corpse gump that has scrolls and just double-click
the scroll to use it, the scroll icon does not disappear until after you close the corpse gump and reopen it.
The scrolls do behave correctly inside the backpack though.

Methinks scrolls shouldn't be usable from a corpse container....

Looks like it's working okay - loot still appears, it's lootable, and scrolls used from within the corpse-containers vanish as soon as they're used.

yeah, but now if you miss target the scroll just disapears and you don't get a a redo on the target. Is it supposed to eat the scroll on misclick?
I'm using 3.7t

Maybe missing your target should just make the scroll affect the caster.

The original bug in this thread has been fixed, so this one goes into the bug archive. I'll spawn a new thread for the bug that removes scroll on double-click instead of on successful targeting.
