I was mining near Minoc (mining camp) and smelting as I was going - firstly I got all different colours of metal from the one spot and secondly when I smelted Iron and Dull Copper it appears the Dull Copper combines with the Iron and I now have heaps of Dull Copper and no Iron. Is this normal?
This occured near the cave mouth and along that first ridge near the camp.

Ah, I just remember something... we haven't updated the main download in quite some time, so you might avoid a lot of issues and bugs by downloading the experimental version instead... it has all the latest updates.
Backup the stuff you've done already (custom dfns, scripts, accounts, the shared folder which holds data for all items and npcs) and just replace your entire UOX3 folder with the experimental one.

I was mining near Britain tonight and it happened again - I got all ore types from one spot. I also smelted them all at a forge nearby and afterwards I could not find the normal iron ore ingots. So I mined again and smelted the iron ore first (10 ingots), then I smelted th dull copper amd ended up with 30 dull copper (s/be 20 ingots) and no iron ore ingots.Xuri wrote:Ah, I just remember something... we haven't updated the main download in quite some time, so you might avoid a lot of issues and bugs by downloading the experimental version instead... it has all the latest updates.

Incidently, the ingots don't auto stack with the previous smelt (they do stack when added manually. Also it was equally easy to smelt all ore types, meaning I didn't fail once even with Valorite.
I'll do some more testing later on.
